Bonjour mes amis! I was away for some time..been busy with my spiritual and professional growth :-) .. I have discovered many Free Apps to enhance children's French vocabulary and at some point to expose them to French sounds. It does not matter how much they understand out of it; the important thing they are exposed to it and eventually children will start catching up some words or even phrases out of those clips, songs and games.
I have no personal interest to promote these applications. I am sharing them as I have found them useful from the educational perspective.
Free Downloadable Android App:French Learning For Kids, Marlu Studio for Education marlustudio.com
- Pop the balloons again and again to hear a repeat of the letter, number or picture...... - In the numbers category, pop the small balloons to hear a count of the represented number.....
- Full French alphabet....
- Numbers 1 to 10.... - A big collection of animals, shapes, colors, objects and fruits and vegetables. ... - A learn section and a play section in each category... - All words pronounced in a very clear, friendly and gentle female voice... - You have the ability to keep repeating the words until you or the child get it right... - Each represented word has its spelling also displayed.
I have actually abandoned the idea of flashcards that are just everywhere...in my car..in my room...in my kitchen..perhaps if I do some more "search" in my house I will find them in my bathroom as well ..
personal experience, these children are so much addicted to their Ipads and Phones..so for now it is the best way to engage them in learning..
just go through apps that are free and read the customer reviews.. I found this one very helpful; well, that's "for now" helpful I mean:-) Bien Des Choses à Tous!!!

French Keyboard, Flash Cards and YouLearnFrench on youtube.
Create flash cards yourself roughly by hand if you do not have a printer at home. Flashcards will help them to memorize spelling words. I also will update my PP file with pronunciation, it is good to review it daily.
If you can not open the file please let me know.
For typing in french such letters like à, è you will need a French Keyboard.
There is one perfect channel on youtube YouLearnFrench I have subscribed to it She also has another channel for dialogues, but that is for later. My child is watching it every day. I do not see much progress, however I can see her recalling words, numbers and spelling few words and numbers. some children grasp quickly while others are a little slow :-) but in both cases they still L E A R N .. Most importantly enjoy your time with your child :-)
